Hello my fabulous picture book creators!
I’m spending the week in sunny California, which is where I was born, raised and lived the entirety of my life. Only 4 years ago we packed up our little family (along with my parents, my in-laws, multiple brothers and sisters-in-law, and many nieces) and moved to the East coast. And as much as I love the gloriously lush mountains, I do very much miss California (especially In-N-Out.) So I’m soaking up all the beach, Sea World, summer lovin’ San Diego life that I can.
But of course I couldn’t forget my promise to share the thumbnail templates with you from my post on picture book dummies last week!
I toggled back and forth on the idea of making these free or for paid subscribers, but I just keep coming back to wanting these resources to be accessible to everyone. So I just ask that if you share this then you give me credit.
I do spend a lot of time on these posts for you guys, so if you’d like to become a paid subscriber for $5/month then I’d be forever grateful! You get behind the scenes looks at my studio and my writing/illustrating process. Or if you become a founding member you get a portfolio review/picture book dummy critique/30 minute AMA. I’m also working on some new awesome-sauce perks for my paid subscribers (like online community meet ups!). Ok now, enough of that!
If you scroll to the very end of this post you’ll find the downloadable PDF’s of each template, including a blank one you can print and draw on yourself. Or transfer to Photoshop or Procreate and draw on. Whichever floats your boat! They’re formatted as 8.5”x11” so easy to print and hang up on your wall for reference. Here are the images of what you get:
I hope you find these useful! I’m off to enjoy family vacation time! Until next week!
xo,
Thank you!
Thank you! :-)
